Robbery suspect killed in shooting; had been out of prison less than a week(OH)

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A Cleveland man turned the tables on four robbers late Thursday, grabbing one their guns and shooting one of the suspects dead. The Cuyahoga County Coroner's office identified the dead man as Terrance Manning, 20, of nearby Central Avenue. He died shortly after midnight Friday at MetroHealth Medical Center. Manning was released from prison on Aug. 21 after serving two years on robbery and weapons charges, according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) - An ongoing dispute between two men turned violent overnight. Police are trying to determine if the shooting is a case of self defense. Thomas Ridgeway was airlifted from Andalusia Regional Hospital, where he was taken for treatment of gunshot wounds to the chest. Taxidermist kills robbers(South Africa)

Johannesburg - Two men were shot dead by the owner of a taxidermy business after they robbed him in Randfontein, Gauteng police said on Tuesday. "The 36-year-old male business owner that had been tied up along with workers this morning, managed to free himself and ran outside to where the men were leaving the house with money they had stolen," police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst said. An off-duty Chicago police officer shot and killed a man who broke into his South Side home Friday morning, police said. The intruder, who police said was armed, had not been identified as of late Friday.
